Feedback Types in Second Language Writing: Are They Really Effective?

This study focuses on types of feedback provided in second language writing higher education and their evaluation the light students’ opinions. Data were gathered from 55 students who took English classes for 3 hours a week an preparatory program at college Turkey. Semi-structured interviews used as data collection tools. Findings revealed that vast majority found meaning-focused more motivational than form-focused feedback. Additionally, they preferred self-assessment to peer-feedback. The paper presents discussion writing.
